EPOSAK

Eposak connects people through lending and sponsors tourists, helping base of the pyramid tourism entrepreneurs, so they can have access to funds and business education.

As is well known, sustainable tourism is a powerful weapon to alleviate poverty. That’s why the Fundación Esteban Torbar created a project called Eposak (this is a indigenous word that means “achievement”), in order to become sustainable tourism in an alternative lifestyle for low-income communities in Venezuela.

Eposak offers a platform where, through crowd sourcing, everybody can helpVenezuelan entrepreneurs that live in the most remote areas of the country, supporting them to achieve a better life for their families and their communities. Also, this foundation includes an educational path for the entrepreneurs, so they can participate in different workshops and courses that will teach them the best ways to run their businesses.

In the last five years, Eposak has helped more than 40 entrepreneurs from 4 different communities, and they want to keep growing until they can encompass the entire national territory.
